Snook are among the many species we've been catching this week.

The fishing still continues to be good throughout the New Smyrna Beach area. We have been bringing several different species boat side this week from trout and redfish to snook and jacks. We still have large schools of bait in and around the Mosquito Lagoon along with bait pods off the beach, as well.

The bite has been good early and then tapering off as the day goes on. Target the bars and flats early, then, as the sun gets a little higher, move to the ledges and drop offs. With all the people coming to New Smyrna Beach this weekend, be careful both on and off the water. Have a great Fourth of July!
