A nice redfish caught on a recent trip.

The fishing has continued to be steady throughout the New Smyrna Beach area. We had a little break of nice weather for a few days making for a little better bite. There is a cool front approaching FL which will lower air temps and unfortunately bring some windy conditions. Hopefully the cooler weather and future fronts will get the water conditions in Mosquito Lagoon back to normal. We still have bait scattered through out New Smyrna and Mosquito Lagoon. Due to the water clarity in the Lagoon at the moment live finger mullet, cut bait , plugs and spoons have been working the best. We have still been catching a variety of species from snook, jacks, redfish and trout to name a few.
