
I'd say it's pretty rare. I've been surf fishing in the area for a pretty LONG time and have definitely never caught a bonefish.

Primetime for summer fishing on the beach! I was able to get into some Pompano on Friday a little north of Ponce, too. Later this week I'm gonna try targeting some of the big game out there.
Hit the surf today in Ponce Inlet. It was a little bit rough, but fishable. I had a nice window where the wind shifted out of the SW and managed to catch a few bluefish. The beach wasn't too crowded and live bait was plentiful, from mullet to sand fleas.
