We have had a whirl wind of weather the past couple of weeks here in the New Smyrna Beach area. It seems as though the recent change in wind direction has pushed quite a bit of water out. The cooler water temperatures and lower water conditions are making for some steady sight fishing. There has been a good number of redfish and trout holding over the shallow bottom throughout the day along with black drum and some snook holding in the deeper water. Live bait and artificials have been working well when presented slowly. Look for the fishing to continue to get better as the weather starts to stable.
