The trout bite has been rock solid in the Mosquito Lagoon.
The bite has continued to be good throughout the area. We have had a good amount of baitfish scattered from Mosquito Lagoon north to New Smyrna. There is a variety of species in and around the baitfish this time of year. Look for the bait pods and focus on fishing in and around them with either live or artificial baits. The bait pods are holding trout, jacks, bluefish, tarpon and redfish right now — and all these fish are eager to eat!
It looks like the weather will be stable for the next few days, so expect the good bite to continue.
