Clayton Wright, our employee, caught this nice snook while night fishing.
After a successful federal red snapper season, bottom fishing is still producing good catches. Bottom fisherman are still scoring grouper, cobia, various snappers, and more. Some of the nearshore artificial reefs are producing nice catches of flounder, too. The bite on the surface is not quite as strong, with kings and cudas constituting most of the activity.
On the beach, surf fishing is producing good catches of whiting, along with a few sharks and small pompano. Some anglers are getting double digit catches of whiting per outing.
Inlet anglers are finding a few reds and some nice mangrove snappers. By night, anglers are still tangling with some snook and tarpon.
Inshore, some of those nearshore flounder have found their way inside. Mangrove snapper are still a big part of the catch, along with a few redfish.
Lets go get ’em!
