I believe summer has finally started to pop it’s head out here in New Smyrna Beach. The weather has started to warm and the bite has continued to get better. Look for the bait to continue to show up on the flats of Mosquito Lagoon and for the trout and redfish to mingle among the schools of bait throughout the shallows.

Spoons, plugs and soft plastics have been working along with live mullet and shrimp. As the water temps continue to fuse and more bait arrive, the bite will continue to only get better.
