It looks as though we are on a warming trend at least for the next week or so. The bite continues to be good throughout the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon. We have been targeting redfish, snook, black drum and trout this past week. As the week moves forward the water temps will increase and should only continue to keep producing a good bite. The choice of bait has been Live finger mullet, shrimp and cut bait along with soft plastics and twitch baits . It seems as though the majority of the fish have been holding among the bait pods. If you can find the pods of bait most likely there are some game fish in the mix of them.
