A beautiful seatrout caught on a recent inshore trip!

The fishing still continues to be good with several redfish coming boat side this past week. We did finally get some cooler weather which unfortunately brought along high winds for a few days. After these winds subside the bight should continue to be good. Look for the pods of bait throughout New Smyrna Beach and the Mosquito Lagoon. I like to target the bait pods with both artificial and live bait. The trout, jacks , snook and redfish have been in or near the bait the last couple of weeks and are always looking for a easy meal. It looks as though the weather will stable out toward the end of the week and the bite should only get better.
