This late cold front that past last week has brought us some cooler weather and a whole bunch of wind. The wind has not effected the bite though. We have been on a steady trout and redfish bite here in New Smyrna Beach. Once this high pressure lifts later in the week the bite will only continue to get better. Look for the redfish and trout to be holding in and around the bait throughout Mosquito Lagoon and the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach. The jacks and snook have also been chewing well in and around the backwaters of the Lagoon. Plugs, spoons and soft plastics have all been working well. Focus on the structure along shorelines holding bait.
