The bite throughout New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon continues to be good. We have been bringing a mixed bag of species boat side the last couple of weeks. From trout, redfish and snook to flounder, black drum and mangrove snapper. It seems as though the redfish and black drum are feeding better on the shallow flats of Mosquito Lagoon where as the trout and snook prefer the backwaters of New Smyrna Beach. All species have been feeding both on artificial and live bait. It looks as though we will be receiving another cold front this weekend bringing the temps back down into the 40’s at night. But it also looks as though it will be short lived and the 70’s will be right back.
