Hey, everybody. My name’s Kevin, but most of my fishing buddies just call me “Hookface.” Why, you ask? Let’s just say there’s been more than one instance where I put a fishing hook barb-deep through facial tissue. I’m proud to report, however, that my face is not observably disfigured by my experiences lol.
Oh man, I’ve buried a hook a time or two in my hand but never in my face. What kind of fishing do you like to do most? Do you focus more on inshore, offshore, the surf or do you target a little bit of everything?
Thanks! I grew up mostly on light tackle, primarily inshore and a little freshwater. But, I do whatever type of fishing I can, whenever I can! I’d like to get offshore more, but my opportunities have been somewhat limited as of late. I’ve also always been interested in giving fly a go, but am yet to commit the effort. During the quarantine I thought about trying to learn to tie some flies, but never got further than watching a few youtube clips… One day!
