A beautiful redfish caught fishing the Mosquito Lagoon with. Capt. Mike Mann.

The weather has been outstanding this past week in the New Smyrna beach area. With all this perfect weather, we’ve also had some outstanding fishing, as well.

We have had a major shrimp run this past week bringing a influx of bait to the area. The snook, redfish and trout have been chewing well with several coming boat side. It looks like we will getting a late front toward the end of the week bringing a little bit of wind and rain with it. I do not see the bite being affected in the Mosquito Lagoon or Indian River by the passing front. With all the craziness in this world going on, it’s so nice to get some peace and tranquility on the water — and catching fish is just a bonus.
