The fishing here in New Smyrna Beach continues to be good with the recent stable weather. It seems as though we are getting into our winter time pattern of cooler nights and warm days. This allows our fish to get adjusted to some consistent water temps instead a roller coaster of temperatures. The bait still seems to be plentiful throughout New Smyrna Beach and Mosquito Lagoon. This is the time of year that I’m constantly telling my clients that slower and smaller is better. Small baits presented slowly will get you a bite a lot faster then the average spring and summer time retrieve.
